Aberdeen Touch Tournament

Saturday 23rd September 2006

Two teams left Dublin on Friday 22nd September to Aberdeen not knowing what to expect from the weekend away. After a short trip on the plane we arrived in Aberdeen to find our own personal chaffeur 'Chris', an ex Aussie, waiting to take us to our awesome hostel, the SYHA.

Overall the weekend was a huge success and everyone had a brilliant time. Chris, not only became our driver, but also one or our team members on the Saturday. We met 2 other great guys, G and Mo, who came and played for us well. Thanks to all three guys!!

Some of us only saw the pubs and did not make it down to the beautiful waterfront that Aberdeen is renowned for. Some of us (okay all of us) were scared by Jay's driving who had to take over the bus when Chris wasn't around! One of us never made it home on Saturday night! One of us got kicked out of the dorm (with their girlfriend in tow) because of their snoring! Who??

There was so much more that happened including meeting up with one of the other Edinburgh teams for breakfast on Sunday morning. All in all a brilliant weekend!
